I love going thrift store shopping. You never know what you might find. Just take some time and see what bargins you'll discover.
In Febuary 2000, I wanted to go thrift store shopping. I needed to buy some shirts, but I was bored with all the shops I usually visit. I decided to open the yellow pages and try some new stores. I looked up the Thomas Guide Coordinates to find which stores were close together. Soon I had a list of stores to check out. As we went to stores, my sister suggested that we make notes to help us choose stores in the future. I soon had the idea that our reviews could be shared on the web. As I share this idea with my friends and classmates, everyone has said it is a great idea. I am excited to present SacThrift to the world wide web.
This site is dedicated to providing infomation on thrift store shopping in Sacramento. In addition to the listings I found in the yellow pages, I've added stores located by searching a 30 mile radius on MapsOnUs.com. I plan to add interactive features to allow site visitors to rate and review each store as well as suggest new stores. I also want to provide a way for store owners or managers to register with me. Using the manager account, store details could be updated. I just started Scripting for the Internet at ARC this semester. I will be learning to write CGI scripts in Perl. Hopefully I will be able to make more progress on this site.
Have fun! I'll see you out shopping. Please feel free to send me comments on how I can improve this site.
